GUEST SPEAKER: Richard “Dick” Ewers

“Bi-Polar & Proud Of It”

NASA flight missions to both the North and South poles

Dick served for more than 21 years in the Marine Corps as a fighter pilot, flying Douglas A-4, McDonnell Douglas  F-4 ‘Phantom’, and Grumman F/A-18 aircraft.

He retired from the Marine Corps in August 1989 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He then flew for Westinghouse and later became a test pilot in the Flight Crew Branch of NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, CA where he did flight test work over both the North Pole and South Pole.
