Marlan Woodside has recently (as of March 2025) joined the Mojave Transportation Museum (MTM) as a Board Member at Large representing railroading transportation interests. A resident of California City since May 1982, Marlan began his association with the Mojave area when he arrived as an enlisted member of the United States Air Force assigned to Edwards AFB in 1978. After serving his, he worked in the business office of California City government from 1982 to 1984. He returned to Edwards as a civilian where he spent the next 36 years supporting the business side of flight test. During this time, he pursued his interests in railroading by joining the Tehachapi Loop Railroad club (a 501c3 Non-Profit) in 2005, in 2019 he became a board member and newsletter editor as well as organized train related tours for the club. In 2023 in became Dispatcher/Vice President and 2025 was elected Superintendent/President. Also, during this time, Marlan joined the Friends of the Tehachapi Depot (FOTD) (a 501c3 Non-Profit) that operates the Tehachapi Depot Museum. Marlan joined the FOTD board in 2016 as a Director-at-Large, responsible for Membership/Newsletter/Tours and then Vice President in 2023. Since October 2016, Marlan has been a certified California Operation Lifesaver facilitator educating the public regarding rail safety. Marlan has been a part time business instructor for Cerro Coso Community College and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University from 1982 through 2016. As a member of the MTM he hopes to further the mission to preserve the transportation history and heritage of the Mojave area by creating a museum with an educational outreach.

Since 2019 Christie has been on the Mojave Transportation Museum board of directors as the secretary. She is an active community member of Tehachapi through her employment with the Loop newspaper for the past two and a half years. She has participated in their advertising campaigns, archiving all the past Loop issues and magazines at the local Tehachapi museum and is also a board member of the Tehachapi Visitors Commission. Christie is ready to take on the important role of coordinating Plane Crazy Saturdays. Excited to meet the amazing speakers and visitors.
Her goal with this endeavor is to have civilians of all ages feel comfortable and welcome at the Mojave Air & Space Port at Rutan Field. Engaging with aviation and the history of Mojave transportation “From Mule Teams to Space Dreams” Christie is honored to be a small part of Mojave’s transportation history.

Alexander Teteriatnikov
Director of Design and DevelopmentFrom a young age, Alexander Teteriatnikov has been captivated by aviation, nurturing a deep passion for the skies and the mechanics of flight. This early fascination with aircraft led him to pursue a career that combines his interests in both aviation and architecture. During his college years, he had the privilege of working on architectural projects for Frank Gehry, gaining invaluable experience in innovative design. Additionally, he contributed to architectural projects focused on aviation, merging his love for both fields into a unique and fulfilling career path. Currently, he is focusing on the construction of the Mojave Transportation Museum, showcasing his expertise and in architectural spaces that inspire and educate.
Sally Kendall
A long time Mojave resident, Sally planted her roots in the early 1970’s and has been an active community member, working and residing in this dynamic and diverse small town ever since. Retired as a construction Loan Officer for Mojave Desert Bank in 2010, Sally has been enjoying her free time partaking in various activities including, but not limited to, Plane Crazy Saturdays and most recently restoring and bringing to life a Historic Downtown Mojave treasure on K street, The 1905 Pheonix. She enjoys giving back to the community that has been her home for the past 48 years.

Rebecca Reeder
DirectorRebecca Reeder is Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Do Good Bus — a transportable community service venture based in Los Angeles, CA. Her background is in event planning and community based projects and the aviation world is relatively new to Rebecca as she moved to Mojave in 2014. She’s worked all over the world including the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Hong Kong, and Toronto. Her goals in business and in life are to create community, take action and remind people to have fun.

Bill Deaver
Vice President— Founding DirectorVice President & MTM Founding Member – Bill Deaver is a partner in Deaver-Wiggins & Associates, a Public and Government Affairs Consulting firm; is former editor and publisher of the Mojave Desert News and a long-time Mojave resident.
A charter member of the Kern-Antelope Historical Society, he writes a weekly column for the Antelope Valley Press, and has championed many civic improvements in the town of Mojave and serves on the Board of Directors of the Mojave Chamber of Commerce.
He served in the administrations of two U.S. presidents and on the staffs of two Members of Congress and a state legislator, as administrator of the region’s court system, Mojave Constable, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Mojave Air & Spaceport, Kern Economic Development Corp., East Kern Economic Alliance, and the Edwards Community Alliance/East Kern Educational Resource Network.

Cathy Hansen
President — Founding DirectorA long time aviatrix and community leader, Cathy Hansen is a past president and served as a Director of the East Kern Airport District Board of Directors for seventeen years.
Cathy is a past president of the Mojave Chamber of Commerce, past President of the Bakersfield Council Navy League and currently serves as a Navy League National Director. Together with her husband, Al Hansen, the pair maintains a small fleet of vintage aircraft at the Mojave Air & Spaceport, some of which have been used in movies and television shows.
